Enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride through Hundred Acres Reserve. Afternoon tea is included.

Our carriage tour will take you on a slow paced ride from Tea Shire Drive, past the iconic Morton Bay Fig trees, into Hundred Acres Reserve. This is a unique way to enjoy some of the island's flora and fauna.
We then return to the stables for afternoon tea supplied by Norfolk Island Tea.

Tea Shire Drive Terms & Conditions

By confirming your booking you agree to the following terms and conditions.
Driver Instructions:
•No one may enter the carriage without the driver present and in the carriage. All persons will be instructed on how and when to enter the carriage prior to tour beginning.
•All riders must be seated at all times while the carriage is in motion. If someone must move around, please signal the driver so they may stop the ride at an appropriate time and location.
•Passengers must not repeat command words. This may confuse the horse(s) and risks causing accident or injury.
•Passengers must follow all instructions given in safety check and speech. Should an instruction not be followed, the tour may be stopped immediately.
•The driver will attempt to give warning, but be aware that the horse may trot up hills.
•Further instruction will be given prior to boarding the carriage. By agreeing to these terms at time of booking, you acknowledge that you will follow all guidelines given, as they are in place for the safety of the passengers, the horses, and any passersby involved in the tour.
Health and weight restrictions:
Carriage Ride – Strict weight limit of 500 kg for total party, limited to 6 people or less – this is for the welfare of our horses. If your party exceeds the weight limit upon arrival, weight must be dropped to below 500kg by excluding a party member, or tour must be cancelled and will not be eligible for refund.
-Not recovering from surgery or have a recent injury. If you are pregnant or have a residual health issue, please discuss with your health care professional prior to riding.
-Be able-bodied to enter and exit from the carriage without assistance, or book in assistance with the party. Driver cannot help persons enter or exit the carriage due to liability. Carriage cannot accommodate wheelchairs or walkers. These passengers may be eligible however this needs to be discussed prior to booking.
-Children: We ask that children booked in be of an age that they can sit still in the carriage on the designated bench. Children will not be allowed to sit on the floor of the carriage, for safety reasons. We ask that babies be secured in a carrier or wrap. Please use your best judgement on whether or not this tour is suitable for your children.
Surprises and Proposals: If the tour is a surprise or a wedding proposal, please advise us of the special occasion so that we can best coordinate with you to make it a special time.
Weather: Tea Shire Drive reserves the right to change tours due to weather conditions or other operational considerations. Our decision is final – regardless of the occasion. The health and safety of our horses, staff and clients are our number 1 priority. Tours will be rescheduled or refunded depending on availability and customer preference.
Cancellations: Apply to all bookings. Horse and Carriage Tours – Outside of 7 days – no charge. Between 7 days and 48 hours you will be charged 50% of the booking or cost to change booking. Inside 48 hours you will forfeit full cost of tour. This can be transferred to credit for a future booking. Credit expires after 6 months. * A full refund or option to reschedule will be made available to customers in the event of a cancellation of the tour by Tea Shire Drive due to adverse weather or any other unforeseen event. ** In the event you are a “NO SHOW” you will forfeit the cost of your entire booking. “NO SHOW” customers will not be eligible to rebook and will not receive a credit.
PLEASE NOTE: Whilst we take the utmost care and training with our horses, they are an animal and have the ability to cause injury. Please take note that you as the rider have chosen to ride at your own risk and agree to abide by all terms, conditions and instruction. A waiver must be signed prior to entering the carriage for the tour. This will be provided by the driver. Terms and conditions are subject to change with no notice. By booking a tour you agree to all terms and conditions listed at time of booking. We ask that you review the terms and conditions immediately prior to riding, in case any changes have occurred.
