In the Wild

Located at the top of the hill (81 Grassy Road), In The Wild is a venue with something for everyone! Previously known as ‘Walk in the Wild’, it reopened in May 2026 after being closed for a few years, paying homage to the classics in addition to having some new offerings for the island. It’s a place for families, visitors, romance, friendship, and peaceful solitude.

Enjoy 9 holes of mini-golf whilst working your way through the history of Norfolk Island. Satisfy your taste buds with Norfolk’s original soft serve and sundaes. Sit down and relax, and enjoy some wine, non-alcoholic drinks, cheese, charcuterie and sharing plates whilst admiring the work of local artists and creators. Explore Nature’s Bounty, an art exhibition by Sorrel Wilby, dedicated to the beauty and diversity of Norfolk’s natural world, whilst paying homage to the species lost during the Island’s tumultuous past.

If you’re feeling adventurous, wander around the bird boxes, or the privately owned rainforest, which are open to the public from open until dark (or venue close, whichever is first). A moderate level of fitness is required for the walk, as the path can be uneven in sections. It is sadly not suitable for those requiring wheeled-walkers or wheelchairs for mobility.

Guided tours of Nature’s Bounty and the Walk in the Wild are available for those wanting to deepen their understanding of our beautiful island home.

Come say watawieh. Plenty of parking for all. Event spaces available, please contact us to discuss further.
