Curated Audio Heritage: Journey through carefully selected archival recordings from 1948 onwards, featuring favourite hymns such as ‘In the Sweet By & By’, ‘Brightly Beams’, ‘In the Garden’, and ‘Beautiful Stream’. Each recording has been meticulously chosen to represent the authentic vocal traditions of the Norfolk Islanders – recorded at a time when our traditional singing style remained in its purest form.
Insightful Contextualisation: Hosted by Norfolk Islander and Churchill Fellow Jodie Williams, you’ll learn about her ethnomusicological research interwoven with the featured recordings from her extensive archival collection. Discover the stories behind the voices and understand the cultural significance of each musical selection.
Live Organ Recital: Experience a live performance on the Henry Willis organ, bringing the tribute’s themes to life through resonant, emotionally stirring musical interpretation. The organ’s magnificent tones will fill the historic chapel, creating an atmosphere of profound beauty and reflection.

Doors open 30 minutes before performance time. Come early to enjoy pre-event music compilations and settle into the chapel’s serene atmosphere.
