More than 70 low-tax shops

Norfolk Island has become one of the leading low-tax shopping destinations for Australians and New Zealanders. In fact, some visitors come to Norfolk just to shop. There are more than 70 low-tax free shops, many of them specialising in a diverse range of quality merchandise which is not readily available in Australia or New Zealand.

You don't have to travel the world to buy something special, our shopkeepers have done it for you and it is available at low-tax prices - better than normal duty free.e.g. Lego is cheaper on Norfolk than in Denmark and visitors receive an extra 30% discount on tax free prices at the Liquor Bond store (on presentation of your passport and airline ticket)

We have all that you find in a duty free shop plus many extras i.e. shoes, clothes, dinnerware, giftware, jewellery, cosmetics, cameras and toys etc. You can also find shops specialising in local arts and crafts such as wood-work, paintings, pottery and weaving.

Just about everything you could ever want to buy is on Norfolk Island.

The shopping precinct is centrally located in Taylors Road and the Village, so that you can stroll from one shop to another at your leisure. Opening Hours: Most shops close on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons and all day Sunday. However the main supermarket is open 7 days a week. The Liquor Bond store closes all day Sunday. Be sure to check out the Sunday Markets, in the Bicentennial Complex every Sunday morning.
