The golf course is superbly situated between the rugged coastline and the delightful grounds of Government House. Green fees, club and buggy hire are inexpensive. Gymnasium, tennis, squash, lawn-bowls, archery, clay and pistol shooting, mini-golf, netball, and skateboarding facilities are also available. Visitors are welcome at all clubs.
The waters surrounding Norfolk Island are a fisherman's dream with fishing charters and boat cruises available to visitors. Scuba diving highlights amazing coral and fish life with dive courses also available. Inside the lagoon of Emily and Slaughter Bays you can enjoy safe swimming and snorkeling,beyond the reef, bring your board to catch a wave or experience sea-kayaking.
Tour operators offer bus tours to take you into private gardens, learn about the history and culture or just get off the beaten track on a 4WD tour. When you have had enough of the outdoors, check out the museums and art gallery's or enjoy a coffee in a trendy cafe or even pamper yourself with a beauty treatment. Or why not take in the fresh air, grab a good book and relax under a Norfolk pine.
